Activity in the Houston Industrial market has persevered rounding out the fourth quarter of 2019 with 2.1 million square feet (msf) of positive net-absorption, bringing annual totals to 8.0 msf.
The fourth quarter saw large-scale tenants in the market sign 10 leases larger than 100,000 square feet (sf), the largest of which consisted of 345,000 sf in the South submarket at 411 Brisbane signed by Moody Compress. Other notable leases signed this quarter include Amazon which took 238,000 sf at West Ten Business Park in the Northwest submarket, Gerber Plumbing which took 180,000 sf at 300 South Sheldon in the Southeast submarket, Scope Imports who took 149,000 sf at 1403 Gillingham in the Southwest submarket, and Aztec Events & Tents who signed a renewal at 601 W. 6th Street in the CBD.
